Here we present an association that enriches the new season of associations, ecclesial movements and new communities with its charism. The Holy Spirit has inspired this new flourishing growth in the Church in recent years, a development that we shall follow in this section of our website.
The Hogar de la Madre (www.hogardelamadre.org) was recognised as an international association of the faithful of pontifical right by the Pontifical Council for the Laity on 6 June 2010.
During the ceremony on 21 June 2010 when the decree was conferred, Cardinal Stanislaw Rylko, president of the Pontifical Council for the Laity, addressed the members of the movement with these words: “The Hogar de la Madre helps each of you to be holy as you follow Christ. You, like all ecclesial organisations, were born in the Church with the aim of faithfully serving the Church”.
Reverend Rafael Alonso Reymundo, founder of the movement, followed up this point on that occasion when expressing his gratitude: “I would like all of us to be aware of the responsibility given by God and which we shall take on with docility and total dedication in the missions that the Lord has entrusted to us... We are a small, humble plant of the Church that the Lord has placed in his wonderful garden, the Church...”.
