Pope Francis has decided to grant a Plenary and Partial Indulgence to all those who take part in the 28th World Youth Day that will be celebrated from 22 to 28 July in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Apostolic Penitentiary has published the relative Decree today, in Latin and in Italian. It is signed by Cardinal Monteiro de Castro, Major Penitentiary, and by Mons. Nykiel, Regent. The Indulgence may be obtained on the usual conditions — Confession, Communion, and prayer for the Pope’s intentions — also by those who will not be able to go to the Cariocan city but who will be united in spirit through the media with the wyd celebrations.
