What is it the Pontifical Council for the Laity? What is its identity, institutional aims, its structure, and its field of competence? The recent publication of the Pontifical Council for the Laity tries to answer to all of those questions.

Written for those who have contacts with this Dicastery of the Roman Curia, for the Episcopal Conferences, Episcopal Conferences’ Lay Councils, and for all those people who are interested to know its work. 

The Dicastery publishes the booklet that deals with the origin and development of the same Vatican office. In 1997 a pamphlet similar to the present was published.  The present second edition is updated and respects the actual structure  and activities of the Dicastery of the Holy See.
